The Quezon City government will start implementing the no closed-circuit-television-camera-system or no CCTV, no business permit policy in January 2013.
Mayor Herbert Bautista has directed Business Permit and Licensing Chief Garry Domingo to send notices as early as November to inform business owners of their responsibility to install in their establishment a CCTV before applying or renewing their mayor’s permit.
Bautista said that the city will be strict in enforcing its requirement that establishments operating within the city must have their own CCTV, especially those big businesses including banks, pawnshops, gas stations, malls, supermarkets and even schools.
He warned that business owners could only get their permits once they install CCTV in their establishment.
